• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS20 Gyro XML gauge

Hi !

Im new here...so please be gentle =) (i am also german so please sorry for the school english)

I started converting aircraft for FS2020 and im also experienced in doing physics (except the modern aerodynamic part, but thats a topic for another day).
Im working on some fighter jets at the moment and even tho my aircrafts maybe not 100% realistic, i alway try my best. After i tried to make an XML (and failed) for the F-14 flaps/wings, i had some help.

So you can guess im new to the XML thing.

Today i had an idea and idk if that possible or not: To have a XML gauge like a gyro that controls the elevator deflection by gravity (up to 9G's) and the roll speed in degrees.

Maybe you laugh now...wtf is is he talking about ? Well ...

Any suggestions if that would be possible ? I would guess some people already tried it and failed ?

Thanks for the answers !

Hi !

Since some time has past now....i gladfully learned some things from other people but its very frustrating that you cannot ask people for help.

Is there anybody on this forum who i can contact via discord for some tips and help ?? Espacially XML things (gauges, vis condition etc). And german guy would be nice (language barrier etc) but sure its not a must.

I totally feeling alone with my qestions....

thanks

Because this is FS2020... everyone is currently learning. There are no experts, yet. I can't even tell you how to create an XML gauge for the new aircraft panel system.

No...i mean simple XML files. Not entirely complete new gauges.

There are a great deal of examples of XML gauge files in this subforum. Whether it's a visible gauge or an invisible gauge, the files are more or less the same. The only difference would be that visibile gauges have elements that are visible on a panel or in a window, whereas invisible gauges do all their work invisibly using an update section.

I also need help with CSS files. I know what i want but i dont know how to put the code together to make it work.

its really annoying that so many people are in one forum...and nobody has a clue about anything.

i think im wastin my time asking here...sry
