Hi Lads,
can any of you tell me were i might get some great photo and information of hanger size and so on.........just that I'm going to try to do the EIME "BALDONNEL" scenery.all i need is some information & photo of BALDONNEL hangers so that i con do them right.
any help would be great:)

Hi Keith,

The Hangars at Baldonnel seem to originally by WW1 General Service Sheds (same as at RAF Duxford) I'm not sure if they still are but there is a few pictures here from quite a while ago.

http://www.airfieldinformationexchange.org/community/showthread.php?t=1632

From the pictures it seems the roofs have been changed from the original curved to pitched roofs (see last picture in above link) so would guess they are the same. And looking at the Flashearth aerial imagery it seems the 2nd hangar from the right (the single one in the second photo in the above link) is the only one to have been removed and replaced with another type of hangar which is unknown.

To get measurements use GoogleEarth, go to another airfield that has the same hangars (Duxford for Example) and use the ruler tool to measure length and width, height would have to be guessed but I would sat they would be around 10m to the peek of the roof. I built similar hangars for my RAF Leuchars Scenery.

Hope that helps

Stevo ;)
