    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.

Hi Evan B!

I have never used Static Aircraft .MDL Maker, but going by your error. The first thing I would look at; is the path and file actually there, or did it get deleted. The reason I ask this, is that the app is looking for a file in your Downloads folder. That is a default folder that downloads from the web will be wrote too. Also the file may be corrupt. So it may be a good idea to see if you can re-down it and try again.

Myself, I would down load the file again and then move it to a project folder.

I hope that this helps a little. Sorry I could not be more help.

Hey Krispy,

The file is still there I have checked. The downloads folder is where I keep all of the fsx stuff from the web to keep isolated. You wouldn't happen to know how to change the save location for SAMM?

Thanks

Evan, SAMM saves its models in the SAMM folder - as detailed in the User manual. You can't change that.

Are you attempting to execute SAMM from your downloads folder. If so, that's not a good idea. At the very least, you need to be running as administrator. Please install SAMM in accordance with the user manual. If it still doesn't work, please let me know.

No sorry Evan B, I do not know how to change the default save location for SAMM. Do you have this problem with other files that you have worked on? If not, the file is probable bad. And you need to re-download the file again.
