• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I having a problem getting flights to appear in the latest version of AIFP.(3. 4. 313) I was able to create flight plans and had no problem doing so. I was able to compile the flight plans without issue. I was able to mount the flight plans into the community folder of FS2020 without issue. Now the problems!! When i go to my custom made airport home airport. and wait for the AI to start, Nothing happens!! I decided to try one before just incase i did not get the timing right. Nothing!! I then tried with the time set to one hour after scheduled departures. Nothing!!. There is nothing in the Custom AI folder but the files placed there by AIFP. All aircraft are in the community folder and mu AI aircraft is from the MLT which is a part of IVAO-ivao-x-csl. These are the only ai aircraft used. The FS2020 setting are: AI-OFFline, density is set to 0 and the AI Traffic. bgl has been turned off by including .XXX at the end of the file name. Any hep to get my AI working would be greatly appreciated.

Wait! So you wrote a custom airport, you created a custom traffic file, you added custom AI airplanes, you disabled default airplanes and nothing works? Did you think that you might be exposing too many potential opportunities for errors, to ever solve any?

The recommendation is that you restore everything to a default state, introduce a single custom element and apply default parameters to it. The suspicion is the airport, as it offers the greatest "chance for failure," so I'd start there. Get an AI flight plan for that airport with default aircraft and if that does not work, apply the same flight plan to a working airport, if that still does not work, keep editing the flight plan until it DOES work, then change that flight plan back to your custom airport. If it does not work, keep editing your airport until it DOES work. Taxi links will be your greatest focus, they must be intact and continuous, also properly configured hold short nodes must be in place.

Finally, when all else is in order, you can introduce custom traffic. If it does not work, you likely are not able to make it do so and you would need to select other models.
