• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

Help with Changing Glass Transparency and Color for Drzewiecki Design Tallinn Airport

Hello FSDeveloper community,

I hope you are all doing well. I am currently trying to customize my Drzewiecki Design's Tallinn Airport scenery. I'm having some difficulty changing the glass transparency and color for the airport's buildings, and I was wondering if anyone here could provide me with some guidance or tips on how to achieve this.

I've tried to change the glass texture color in Photoshop but haven't been able to achieve the desired results (I think it's because the MSFS glass is not texture, but number values). The default glass at Tallinn Airport appears to be too blue and not very transparent, and I would like to make it more realistic by adjusting its transparency and possibly its color.

If anyone has experience with modifying scenery in this way or knows of any resources, tutorials, or tools that could help me with this task, I would greatly appreciate your input. Your expertise would be invaluable in helping me enhance my simulator experience.

Thank you in advance for your assistance. I look forward to hearing from the experienced members of this community.

Best regards,
P_L_A_Y

Hi
Please someone help me
You already figured that the glass is not (entirely) texture related, but most likely it is material related, as a final user you can't do nothing about the materials property used in that scene
Options
- ask the developer to change that for you
- try to remove the glass parts and re do them by yourself according to your needs
This last option can be difficult because most likely those glass windows and the whole Terminal are a single model, so excluding the windows will exclude the whole Terminal, thus you'll have to remake it from scratch

Mamu has an excellent point. Drzewiecki Design is a very professional, highly respected developer. There might be a reason the model is the way it is, it is a great idea to bring up your concerns on their forum, as they are very likely to address them.
