Just tried to create my first autogen using scenproc.
I use a 'select by freehand' in Qgis to select an area around a Sottish island from an .shp and "saved selection as" new separate buildings and natural.shp files.
Than entered the various syntax etc into the sceproc, to import the shp files, splitgrid|AGN and CREATEAGN POLYGONS for veg and buildings using the user guide as a help.
However, when click [run], scenproc read the shp files OK, and then said "splitting grid....'. However this step has been running now for 1 hour 15 mins and appears to be stuck. How long does this whole process normally take, or has the program actually got stuck?
Should I have used a " select by rectangle" in Qgis? Could this be the problem?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Stuart
Update: Ignore above question, selecting the features by rectangle in Qgis seemed to solve the problem.
