• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Please help

can not understand how to install the object created by 3DMAX and fsx

I need help please

Descarga ModelconverterX.
Download ModelconverterX.
If I am not mistaken you only have to import your *.3ds file in this program and convert it/export it into/as an .mdl or a bgl (and do not forget to convert your textures to dds or extended bmp.
Read the manual of the program. It is rather easy.

Hi,

Does the opening post not talk about installing 3ds max? I don't see anywhere that a 3ds file is present.

So I assume some modelling in 3ds max is wanted, for that ModelConverterX won't help.

I don't use 3ds max myself, so I can't help with installing it.

No, he doesn't understand how to put the .mdl created by 3Ds into FSX.

Poor Google translate coming up....

From the Spanish back to English, it is utter garbage!!

Airport Design Editor.... Library Creator... Model Converter X.... S Builder X...

What is the 3DS Max FSX Gamepack anyone?

If there is already a mdl file I would not use MCX. Best to put it in a library and then use an object placement tool. Or use ADE.

Seems the last version of 3dsmax that was supported by an fsx gamepack was 3dsmax9, although I heard that 3dsmax 2010 also worked with that gamepack. Those are in the SDK. For 3dsmax 2012, 13, and 14, use the P3D gamepacks from Lockheed.

No, the last was Max 2008. You'll need P3D 1.4's sdk for Max 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. Max 2013 and 2014 will only work with the exporter from P3D v2's sdk, but need XtoMDL from v1.4 to produce FSX-compatible MDLs
