• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

In tutorials for CAT, model tweaker and manual .asm tweak Arno said that some variables shoul be in hexadecimal model.:scratchch
I have tried to convert some frequencies that I need for my scenery in hexadecimal using Microsoft scientific calculator but it seems it doesn't work corectly or maybe I am doing something wrong?#$**.:teacher:

Then I have tested conversion of frequency mentioned in the tutorial (112,00)
but I didnt get 1200h!!!
Can somebody tell me why? And which decimal to hexadecimal converer should I use to get correct numbers.
I woul like to activate some animations and 3D models with ADF frequency but untill I find correct way to convert those decimal numbers to hexadecimal it is inposible.
Can anybody help me?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

As far as I know, I never had to convert explicitely the decimal frequency into a hex. For the 112.00 MHz just type 1200h into the box. It's important not to forget that h suffix, the compiler does the job for you and converts it internally to whatever format it uses, but it needs that suffix info. That's the one that specifies the number to be a hex value.

Same goes for the ADF value: 352 kHz is 352h, simple :)

Hope it helps
Jeff
