• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

How to access Default

How can i get access to my fsx Default Terminals? Im trying to find them so i can add them to the Lib. of ADE. Im trying to open up anything haveing to do with the caribbean area and N Midwest WI USA.

I assume you mean the default library objects? Are they shown as semi transparent yellow boxes in ADE? Most default terminals are stored in OBX files related to the area. These are 'autogenerated'. ADE will have found them during the database scan but they won't be in your user library. You could add them by loading the relevant OBX folder into the Library Object Manager. Finding them might be a bit more difficult. However if you load an airport that contains one of the terminals you are interested in the status bar contains the Directory and Files e.g Dir:0501 File:4712. Your autogenerated terminal buildings will be in an OBX file in Dir 0501.

I did locate a OBX file and tried to place one, but it didnt show. A effect i see when placeing some terminals in FS9 when your outa the geographic region of selected terminal. Meanwhile im haveing fun with the shpae tool in 1.35, help building a round about street or taxiway. My McCalla Field really need that as it has two asphalt circles used for blimp ops around ww2.

That is always the potential problem with objects that are associated with a given area. You would need to identify the textures used and make sure that they are placed in the texture sub-folder where the bgl file is. This may work. A tool like LOM2 could identify the textures.
