So, something that annoys me with Thomas Ruth models is that all of the engines in the A340 reuses the same engine texture from the main that is designed only for 2 engines. Therefore, if you, for example, want to make a livery that has a different decal for each engine on each side, you can't do that. In result, 2 engines may have the same decals as from the other 2 engines. What I am trying to do is that using the hierarchy editor, I would assign one of the 2 engines to a different texture. It would be a cloned version of the "main" texture so it wouldn't be too complicated. Beforehand, I copy and pasted the "main" texture and renamed it to "main_2" so it would help differentiate from the other main texture. But when I went to the hierarchy editor, selected an engine, and scrolled down to the "materials" list, I can't find the "main_2" texture file listed, only the "main" one.
I tried looking solutions for it such as create a new template in the material editor, but it is so confusing and I don't know how to do it. Pressing the "New" button doesn't actually add a new texture to the material editor, it just adds a new template.
Does anyone know how to do this? I can't seem to figure it out. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
