• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi Folks.

I have made a test library with the default Baron and everything seemed to go okay. I then installed that library into ADE9X again okay.

However when I select the Baron to place it as a Library Object I see that the size is 38845.14 x 29461.94 feet.

What have I missed or done wrong?

Cheers...Kenny
BTW....This is in FS9

Hi Kenny,

Did you try allowing SAMM to place the object with BGLcomp?
You might try that, and if the scale is OK it would eliminate SAMM as the root of the scaling issue.

I converted the default FS9 Beechcraft Baron, and placed it with Instant Scenery 2, and there were no scaling issues.

I am not a user of ADE9X, but perhaps there is a scaling function which has somehow inadvertantly been invoked.

Good luck
Cheers

Hi Gman.

No I didn't. I am a beginner at all this stuff and it seemed a bit daunting using the compiler because of all the heading options. I thought that it would be simpler to place using ADE9X.

However, I will go back and try that. As usual I am reading the PDF and using the prog. at the same time as well as trying to use Sbuilder to add some new polys to my test airfield to make it look more like real world.

Thanks for the help.

Regards...Kenny

ADE does not do any scaling by default - it reads the sizes from the model. However something may have gone wrong. Compiling it direct is wise council as it will certainly help to pin point things

Hello again guys.

That worked fine, thanks for the help. I slewed over to where I wanted the Baron noted the position and heading, used this in SAMM and Voila, one Baron exactly where I wanted it. Excellent.

Thanks again...Kenny
