• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.

FSXA Is FSXA compatible with Win10?

Hi Guys, :)

I downloaded the Windows 10 and I'm planning to install it to my local computer. However I'm afraid of this procedure .
So I'd like to ask for your suggestions! :D I wanna ask a question: Will FSXA work smoothly on Win10? What about ModelConverterX, Photoshop, 3ds Max (Development tools) ...etc.?

Is Windows 10 advisable in this case?

Any suggestions appreciated! Thank you :)

Yes! All the software you mentioned should work properly with Windows 10 provided they are not dated.

Photoshop CS4 works, as does Max 2008, in my recent experience. Newer versions should also be fine. FSX is likely to continue working or the Steam Edition would be up the famous creek, paddleless...

I also have FSX and Model Converter X on my Windows 10 computer, and have had no problems

On a tech support level I've found that W10 systems can be locked down tighter than Ft. Knox, which makes support nigh impossible.

I realize it's free... but that doesn't make it a good choice.

Customers are going to increasingly show up using W10 so we'll have to learn its ways all the same.

Yup. Even as an admin (admin-type account, not THE admin), you'll have to take ownership of files every once in a while to gain full access.

Unfortunately we have few choices if we want to stay current. I for one will never go outside the MS OS. Everything I need for development works.
I think somewhere in storage I have a floppy with DOS 4 on it if I can find it and anybody wants it. Hey!: I wonder what I could get for it on eBay?

Greetings all. I'm back guys :D

After installing Windows 10, I needed to download my Nvidia Card Driver for Windows 10 because I used to have a Driver for Windows 8 which is not compatible with the current version of Windows! However on the overall, everything was Alright including FSX, Photoshop, 3ds Max, ModelConverterX ... etc.
The Windows' 10 desktop looks very cool by the way. I liked it so much ;) !

I faced only one problem with the "Runway Numbers Font" I can't use it at all; Neither with Microsoft Word nor with Adobe Photoshop. It also looks like an empty Font file.

I think that the problem is coming from Windows 10 because that same Font used to work correctly with Windows 8. Is this true that the "Runway Numbers Font" has problem with Windows 10?

BTW: I got this Font somewhere in FsDeveloper. But I don't remember exactly where I got it from :banghead:

Thank you in advance. Any help is much appreciated!
