• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.

hi, everyone! have been making good progress on the A300. i had alot of duplicate namings i corrected. now i have an issue with the left hand flaps on the A300. what could be the problem? only one of the left hand flaps animates fully , but the outermost left one will not extend fully. the second one next to that one doesn't extend either, just juts out, what could be the issue?:

animation in 3ds max 2022:

Did you assign the same animation to both flaps?

And you also set the keyframes for the animation in the same way?

Just based on two pictures it is hard to say what is going on.

I would not recommend using the 3ds Max viewport to show anything beyond the fact you intended something to work, especially skinned meshes and multi node animations, because the compiler and render engine interpret these animations differently, usually with less fidelity, than does 3ds Max. The fact that it is a left and right issue suggests duplicated helper nodes and we're encouraged to duplicate them, so long as we don't mirror the animations, which is not supported, but I've had inconsistent results myself doing this.

I suspect you may need a unique helper node, if it's the case that you've created one side and then mirrored it to the other. If you just made one side, animated it and mirrored it, I don't believe that will work.

yes. all flaps/slats can animate now. i had to convert one of the jackmotors to a poly from a line because it wasn't rendering in mcx.
