• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

P3D v4 Issues building over payware

Ahoy guys, running into 2 issues here I can't seem to figure out:

1 is no "trick" I am using to try and mask the ground will allow me to edit airports covered by ORBX TrueEarth regions without the satellite image bleeding over the scenery in between the pavement areas. I have made several versions of KSMF spanning from the 1970s to the 2010s and can't figure it out. In the past, I have not had any problems when installing an airport polygon to mask scenery as needed. But with TrueEarth, it seems to be an issue that the ORBX staff couldn't help with short of saying "ask the guys at FSDeveloper" LOL.

The other issue I've run into that I can't figure out is how to get rid of jetways from a scenery I have deactivated. In the past, if I deactivated a scenery and used another over it, I would only see bridges floating about if I hadn't also deleted/disabled the GSX profile for that airport. Well, I have deleted the GSX profile for the SunSkyJet KDTW scenery and deactivated it, but for some reason, nothing I do will get the bridges from the modern terminals to disappear nor the runwaylights for the current 4L/22R which I have deleted as it wasn't around before the new terminal was built.

Thank you for any help! This really has me frustrated after all the work to create these retro airports...
 
Even after deleting the SunSkyJet KDTW scenery and of course deleting the GSX profile, I still can't get rid of these damn bridges! Do you guys think his installer for some reason dumped them outside the rest of his files which were contained in a "SunSkyJet" folder and into a main folder like world/scenery or something? Ugh, I know a lot of users have that scenery installed so can't really release 80s and 90s versions of DTW with no fix for this. The same with the runway lights for the newest runway which I got rid of, they persist even though the runway was totally deleted from the ADE...

Also can't figure out SMF for the life of me, nothing I do seems to take priority over the satellite textures from ORBX and they themselves admitted they have no idea how to fix it. Anyone have any clue as to what I can try to create an airport poly over their ORBX TrueEarth NorCal textures? This is so weird, never had this issue building over other payware textures...
