• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi there

Wow man congrats on the great program!! it really is great!. I have a quick question. is the a feature to add jetways? and one other thing, is there a way to turn down the senstativity to the program, like when u click quick and u move your mouse a bit and then the gate or what ever moves when u didnt want it to move.

Hi bkircher
Yes you can add jetbridges, first you need a parking spot/gate, then if you click on your parking spot to highlight it, then right click and you will get a menu, at the top you will see Add: highlighting this will give you another menu where you can add your jet bridge, then you can drag it into your required position, not sure about the sensitivity part, but you can lock your gate from the properties window or lock it from the right click when its highlighted

If bkircher zooms in closer should this decrease the sensitivity movement or is it the same regardless of zoom.

I have not tested that but Jon might be able to decrease the movement sensitivity if needed.

After testing, ADE is proportional to movement of a scenery object such as a Jetway vs the Zoom. If you need to make fine adjustments to a Jetway zoom in very close to a parking spot.

hope this helps

thanks for the quick answers!!!! but i do seem to have a slight problem with comiling a airport with cross wind runways. it gives me a error with saying that there are no start points for the invisible runways. i get this i believe with your sfo afcad jim, im not sure if u made it or not off the top of my head. i just trying to add virign america parking spots to the airport

There are errors and there are warnings.

The "missing" start location falls under the warning catagory.

The BGL file will compile properly without them.

Hi bkircher

I never did a SFO CW airport. Others did though.

At this point Reggie covered what I could have said so nothing to add on that topic.

We do have plans to add a automated process for CW runways to the ADE Pro Version in the future. Once that is done we can remove any warnings that the compiler is now displaying with the Start Locations and Meter distance from the ARP.

I just wish FS would allow me to recode ATIS. Most the airports that FS designed with closed runways do not announce in the ATIS speech dialog. But what FS designers can do we sometimes can't do.

The BGL file will compile properly without them.

ok i c now, i didnt know that it still compiles with the warnings. i thought since it had a warning it didnt compile. but i c now
