• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

KDEN Help for FSX

A couple of days ago I was looking for an updated airport scenery package for KDEN for FSX, that includes the United Express Commuter Terminal at Concourse B. I went to the site www.flightsim.com-file library-FSX Scenery-typed in Denver. The first airport scenery pops up and I download it. I after I downloaded the file, I installed the scenery and searched for the bgl file. Once I found this file, I updated the gate locations with the up-to-date spots, saved the airport-and compiled it to my addon scenery folder. After I did that, I started doing a flight parked at A25 and as soon as I started my pushback, the library objects(cargo crates, fork lifts, de-icing trucks, yellow busses,etc...) where in my way. So I tried searching a way to delete those but it is impossible because the objects don't show on the file when I load it into ADE-view-library objects. How do I get rid of those extra scenery packages? Try looking at the stock airport file in ADE and compare that to the file that I found.

They are probably in another BGL file that came with the airport you downloaded. How many bgl files came with it?

You got the scenery add on from Ray Smith?

He usually delivers the scenery objects in a separate file which ends with
... OBJ.BGL

To take a look at the installed objects just open Ray' s KDEN.bgl first and as a second step say
'File' > 'Import Bgl' and select Ray' s OBJ-file.

Jan,
unless it was the scenery of KDEN by Patrick Finch, of which i updated Patrick's Afcad with his permission........
if it was then i did not split the files for that version

There is no OBJ.BGL file and I can't remove the library objects. And Patrick Finch made this airport so I don't know how to remove the objects. The objects that show on the AFCAD file is the added terminals, which are not showing in FSX.

Do you run a traffic program as for example MyTrafficX? It sounds to me as if there might be a second KDEN.bgl somewhere in your files.

The best tool to check this is Scruffyduck' s Airport Scanner.

Otherwise check within the 'Scenery'-directory which comes with your traffic program.

In case you run into a ... KDEN.bgl over there just disable it by changing the ending section to .bgx or something. The same applies to the ... KDEN_cvx.bgl if there is one.
