• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hey I am new to landclass editing and here is my problem....

I am creating a fictional island :wizard: with EZ-Landclass 2.00 for my friend and I have run into 3 questions.

1.) The edges of the island are very straight, is there any way to make them more curved or not straight? (Look at picture below)

2.) Is there a way to get the lighter colored water to continue to the coast line instead of "floating" out in the ocean? (Picture)

3.) How can I create a coastline, what programs can i use and are there any tutorials?

Thanks alot!

Hm, for both #1 and #3, i used to use SBuilder, but it is hell of a job, it somehow screw your whole work if you make one single mistake, and tutorials, well, they're horrible and yes, there's only one official tutorial, so it was hell to learn. You must know every step you want to make in future, and sort out how will you do it and when.I gave up using it, because it drove me nuts, just trying to move piece coastline (300m in length) for about 20m more (correcting to make it more realistic) took me about 2 days, and may I say it worked ONLY on my computer...And not to mention sbuilder is not free... If someone here knows better piece of software, spill it out...

P.S. I've heard that new version of TerraBuilder will actually be a gmax module.(picture Here )

Hi David
For that you can use Ground2k4 which you can find it at avsim ;)
You need a background pic and then draw the coast , roads and other things .

There are some tutrorias for that at avsim .
so far I made one scenery with it , I found it good but it have bugs

Thanks guys, quick question though for SQ347. How do you get a bg pic, do you just go to top down and take the picture with Prt Scr?

Thanks again.

David

In my case I used a satellite image of the area over the default Scenery [used Photoshop to place them] taken with Prt Scr .But in your case you may want just a FS Screenshot .
Anyway whatever you may want to do you will need 2 points in order to align it .

BTW call me Andrew ;)

Okay, thanks and are there any other programs so that in case Ground2k4 is not for me I can back up to, other than SBuilder.

David
