Seems I've come across yet another fsx oddity.
I'm working on Iceland (no reason to make a secret out of that anymore) and I need villages and towns to look quite different there. So I want to use the default agn files with custom textures. Also I delete all vegetation on parts of the the agn files. That works just fine (see screenshot).
The only problem is that my custom texture only shows very close to the aircraft (like LOD15 or so), some hunder feet away it suddenly switches to the default suburban texture (landclass #113). Again see screenshot to see what I mean. (rectangular LOD? structure in the left and upper parts of the image)
Why does fsx do this? Is there a way of preventing it?
