• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

MAX clear model

I was wondering how I could get a 3D-MAX model to get it see through and move it over to ESP. I tried using display on MAX to change the setting to make it clear, but it didn't work. I guess its because its only on MAX's display. Is there any way to get see through model into esp?

Try setting the Opacity level for all Materials to 50% or thereabouts...

I'm still getting not the see through effect. It is see through in 3d max, but on esp it's grey and non-see through type of color. i'm trying out 0% opacity right now. doesnt' work.. i can't see anything..

and when i try to export i get an error message saying it's going to change material number 01 to x01. is that a problem?

For ESP - do you need to make sure the material created is "FSX" (or "ESP") type instead of creating a "standard" material. Would that affect how the material is shown in the program?

Why not create a version of Plexiglass, but use the aircrafts texture?

Are you able to get Plexiglass working in ESP?

That's not really a "problem" per se, however for the sake of not having to endure the warning message, simply rename all your materials to begin with a letter rather than a number.

As Felix has noted, you should be using "FSX Materials" and change the properties for "Framebuffer Blend" to "Set Default Transparent." This will enable the Blinn Opacity to work.

thanks n4glix i got it work. it shows dark colored sphere like a ballon. I have more problem though, I'm showing camera capture area of MUAV by a see-through cone, and I can't make shades go away
thanks alot
