• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi, arno

I find great texture converter,
is what it would be possible to convert
.DDS several times in 1?

Is MCX (Arno) is capable? :stirthepo

Thank you, nice work
:)

Hi Rico,
yes MCX can optimize the number of drawcalls by converting many materials which includes the texture to one material/texture.
Try optimize drawcalls. There are many Information including videos here available that will help you.

Hi jdberg,

I'll try to explain better my request.

If I work on 150 textures 4096x4096 (dds)
I want to convert after 1024x1024 (dds)

(I do not want to make drawcalls)

I would not put objects in MCX
I want to convert all of a sudden.

If you do not understand, I ask if he can capt_x
to translate my application

Thank you;)

Hi all,
Can Texture Converter process multiple textures at once? Does it have a batch mode? ... is what Rico83 is trying to find out.
@Rico83
You might want to read through this thread:

Cheers :)
Thanks Felix for the clarification. But to answer the original question, No MCX has no batch mode to mass convert textures. It can convert a single texture and it can convert multiple objects in batch mode but not textures.
The mentioned thread should however give you the solution.

Yes I see that everyone is stuck on the same problem.
I wonder what to do to be able to MCX.

I use a software to convert them to PNG
after photoshop to resize script
then I will return to .DDS

Arno I know you can do it for help
:stirthepo:wizard:

@jdberg

You are wellcome.
I think it is not a really necessary feature for MCX because you can resize your source textures with any batch converter you want and produce DDS with imagetool afterwards also with a script.
So its no manual work to do.

Yes it's true,
I did not think to make a script directly in photoshop would work
it works very well;)

But I think it would be a real good option for MCX

Thank you to all the developers
;)
