• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Here's a little plane I decided to mess around with. The Midget Mustang designed by David Loving. Circa 1947, it will be for FSX.

All of my planes include a VC with 3d gauges. I have started to work on some of the framework.

Thanks for the comment!

Here's another. This is the bulkhead that the main spars of the wings attach to. It is prominent in the VC. The red parts are the brackets that extend out the side of the fuselage for the wing attachment. All I need to do now is finish mirroring the bits over to the right side.

The panel is pretty much modeled at this point. Still some texture work to do, labels and such.

More progress in the VC...fuel tank installed, forward stiffener stringers installed, and the cover that closes off the aft fuselage is done. I also went back and rounded off a lot of edges on my sheet metal parts. The turnbuckles were modeled straight from one I had in my hand at the time.

As I recall those were fairly fast, what kind of cruise speed are we talking about? The PL4 still get's the vast majority of my sim time but something a bit quicker from point A to point B would be awesome :)

Looks great BTW!

Nice, that's a sharp looking little plane... She looks fast too!!!

Nice work... Look forward to seeing this one progress!!!

I've been working on an assortment of things since my last post. More work on the rudder pedals, added some shine to the paint, started working on animating the suspension on the gear, tweaked on the flight model a bit, and today I decided to start working on the pilot.
