• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Missing texture issue

Hello guys,

one part of one hangar building comes without a texture in MSFS and i don´t know why.

The Blender exporter works well, all textures are available in every required folder but the MSFS-Compiler ignores/skip these textures completely without any error message. I currently cannot reconstruct the problem - for hours. It´s a PBR-texture set with same dimensions and no other texture processing errors or Blender material setting mishaps. The result is a fully rendered 3D object without any textures inside MSFS. Note: That object uses parts of other textures/materials. These parts are shown correctly.

Any ideas what´s going wrong here?

That´s right they are not even compressed in dds. Completely ignored and no error message in in the MSFS editor console. I had already checked all possible workflow mistakes again and again.

The affected building is a extension part of the final model shown on the left both are merged into one object). The texture format is PNG and comes with 2048x2048 px including two additional PBR textures. The model includes working textures (encircled in red) which shows that it is not necessary split that object into a second standalone object file. I have currently no idea to solve this problem.

Thank you so much for any help. I wish all of you a happy new year 2021!
