• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Model Converter X issues

I have tried on a few occasions lately using Model Converter X for use to view repaints im working on but even though the model and textures load up i get constant error messages in the event log making the programme unusable. The programme used to work fine some years ago when i used it but i cant seem to get it working without errors now.

Below is in the log but its a big long list of the same error.

Are you a recent development release? The fact that the error is reported continuously should have been fixed by now.

The preview has a limit of the number of bones it supports per model, it seems this model is more complex.
 
Humm, the repetitive error should have been fixed. I need to check if I have a model that is complex enough to try this on my machine. I don't have the NGXu model myself to test with.
 
I have seen a painter using Modelconverter X to preview work on the NGXu etc without this error so im not sure whats going on.

Hi mate, same issue here on my end with the latest dev version.

Hi,

To be able to analyze this issue further I would need to have a model to test with. If that model is a payware addon I won't have it and am not able to test it. So if anybody can reproduce it with a default aircraft model please let me know.
