• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Modelling Toolset!

Oh geez, I can't believe it's been so long since I've posted again.

Here are some screenshots of the latest renderer in action. Note the striking similarities to how it looks in fsx :)

Oh My!

Wow. Just wow. Holy @#$% !

I can't believe you guys are so into this program. You have no idea how much the "Free Sean" banner warmed my heart when I went browsing through this thread!

Sigh, yes, it has been a difficult year. But I guarantee I will be releasing these tools in some shape or form in the future. Soon, no, but probably in 2013. There certainly has been some work done since my last update, but not very recently. I am still working on charting out a clear path and vision for the tool but file format interchange is still the primary feature. CAD integration is still a long way off but is still under consideration. It will still be "CAD-Like" and feature some simple ways to poke around with the model. There are still a lot of things that are more or less in planning, but time permitting will be integrated. We'll see how far I can get with time.

Also, it wasn't entirely Clutch's fault I disappeared off of the map; it was totally out of my own volition. :) Granted, I have spent far more time on other work endeavours than I had planned on. I am back to more or less developing for FS full time now, after a rocky last year of over-full time employment. So once things have calmed down some with my current project, I will definitely be posting some more updates.

Thanks for all of the support! Know that I have not dropped off the map and that I greatly appreciate the feedback :) Any questions, ask away!

not for FS9?

I aim to include some degree of FS9 support, but FSX support will always be my primary concern.

The problem with FS9 is the BGL based MDL format. It is somewhat well documented but not the easiest thing to render and is fairly inflexible. However, it could still be valuable to some. What are you looking to do with FS9 stuff? I'm open to adding features if there's a need.

Also, Heretic, I owe you a beer for the sig!!! You just became my PR guy :D

You'd better to support FS9 and X both

Big mistake...! :D

(Is that a paid position? If so, I need at least $10k/month to pay for all my PR-guy activities. Coke, champagne, Armani suits, hookers, golden MacBooks...all the good stuff, you know. :D)
