I am using Model Converter X Version 1.50 to place effects and spotlights in P3D V4.5 and have a problem. My terminal is 995 feet long and I find it impossible to accurately place the effects onto the apron lamp posts because of not being able to move my eyepoint. I don't want to move the terminal (object) with the TRANSFORM OBJECTS-MOVE because when I did that, that screwed up all my placement values I did down the line. I record the values on paper as I do each one so that I can go back and redo it if I need to. (Found that out the hard way before I started recording) I want to move MY eyepoint to be in front of each of the 11 lamp posts spaced up and down the apron. Arno is there any way to do this that I am not aware of? In Sketchup you can double-click the mouse wheel to move your eyepoint or in ADEx you can hold down the mousewheel and move the airport. I am tired of having to compile...add to airport in ADEx...open up in P3D only to find that they are not where they looked like in MDCx when I thought I was done. After 3 times, I am tired of this time-consuming process over and over and over.
I love your program so PLEASE don't be offended I just hope there is a way to move up and down the line with the terminal object staying put.
I just had a flash of Divine Inspiration...right mouse button moves me up and down the line; left mouse button rotates the terminal. I suppose I overlooked this somewhere in the manual. Please accept my apology and stupidity. I will do it ONE MORE TIME and get all the effects exactly positioned this time.
