• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS Console message clean messages randomly

Am I the only one to have the Console window in MSFS Dev.Mode getting reset and clean all message randomly ? New stupid behavior since SU7. Is it only happening to me?

Can't say that it happens to me - are you saying you have it open all the time whilst "editing"? I have the Console window closed whilst developing and only open it when I am about to build. So steps would be:
1. Click Project
2. Open Console
3. Clear all messages (so blank pane)
4. Click Build - you should only see the messages relating to the build
5. Close the Console window
 
Same here. Proceed exactly the same way. I open the console and clean the console, only when I build something
Back to your steps by steps : after step 4, I check messages but the console cleans its content itself without having to clear it manually (with the eraser icon).
 
OK. No I have not seen that. Nothing clears unless I do it but I'll check again when I'm next in it.
 
I have that problem since SU7 or SU8 beta. Messages in the console window stay there for a couple of seconds and then get deleted automatically.
 
Thank you qqwertz. It's annoying to have to copy console's result into a notepad to quietly being able to analyze it.
