• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Some of you will have, or may, become aware of a new type of flight plan from Alpha-India Group (AGI) referred to as multi-week flight plans. These flight plans have a repeat period of 2, 5 or 8 weeks and are compiled into standard FSX and P3D traffic file format. (These intervals are not available for FS9.)

I am, in association with AIG, extending AIFP to accept these new repeat periods. It will likely be a couple of weeks before its complete. In the meantime, I'm making progressive special development releases as the adaptation of various AIFP functions is completed. If you wish to participate in testing these new releases (and I'm depending on the user community to do so), please monitor the AIG "AI Flight Planner v2.1 and AIG !!" Forum for release notifications.

Until this new capability is working satisfactorily, the Development Release menu item at http://stuff4fs.com will continue to deliver Version 3.2.12(c) or such later release I may make for the current version of AIFP.

Further to my earlier announcement, I have just uploaded Development release 3.2.12(f) to http"//stuff4fs.com. It should fully support multi-week flight-planning. While you may have no interest in multi-week flightplans - at least at the present time - I'd very much appreciate the more experienced among you installing the new version to help ensure the new capability has not impacted the old. Please report any issues, no matter how seemingly minor.

An updated user manual is included.
