• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MW Graphics - DXTBmp

I cant reinstall the important Graphics Tool "DXTBmp" It needs MW Graphis as a prerequisite . But the site is abandoned: http://fly.to/mwgfx. I still have an old installation file of MW Graphics. But it doesn't function under Win10_H_64. Is there another Tool that does nearly the same ? At the moment I can't repaint any FSX aircraft, nor do other graphics work.

As said I still have the old installation file (mwgfxdll.EXE). I ran it, but no success in Win10.
AFAIK DXTBmp.exe needs that dlls from MW Graphics in ...\system32\ folder of windows AFAIK. Has anybody ideas on how to solve it?

Thanks in advane, guys!
Josef

p.s.:
I rebooted my PC and have redone each step. Finally DXTBmp (V4.00.83) works now with W10. :-)
I've tried to download the latest version (V4.00.96) from http://www.mwgfx.co.uk/programs/dxtbmp.htm but my virus scanner eliminated the file. So I'll remain at the older version and hope it will do like before.

Try this link:

http://www.mwgfx.co.uk/

Also, if you have the needed DLL(s?), it generally can be put in the same folder as the program, and it will work. I have a folder on my C: drive called MyPrograms, and I install to that all 32-bit programs, avoiding the Program Files (x86) and it's permissions problems.

Thanks for that quick reply! You always have the right solutions hidden in your basket ;-)
Also many thanks for the additional hints re. dll's, very appreciated! I also always prefer non standard Windows installation paths for 32bit applications. BTW: All my FSX(Acc.) and Addons / Graphic tools etc. are on seperate SSDs.
