• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I am trying to create this departure gate area of the local airport. The entire terminal structure will be from one Cube. The red rounded line I am having issues with on how to create the rounded end.

Any help or Youtube share would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Nice too see new people trying blender.

There are more solutions for this Bevel a edge split it into more edges and make it round.

The recommended way would be loopcuts and adjust the new edges manual to get the round parts.

You dont have to use only one cube ;)

I would also recommend a tutorial series to lern the basics of blender. Try this one:

I'm still new to blender too, so maybe I'm not using the correct phrase. I'll try to explain my workflow first, maybe others can add/correct me. I design buildings from outline first, then extruded into 3D shape. I assume you are trying to create a curved face. To create something like that, I draw the outline/projection of the building on ground. So I make a square plane, then bevel one edge to match the curve's radius (preferably by importing a background plane from sat imagery), and continue until the outline of the whole building is finished. Then I extrude that plane to match a certain height of the building, e.g the curved area, and left&right part of your building pic. Then I cut the topmost face, following the little rectangle part of the roof, and extrude that plane to match the taller part of the building. But if you are trying to create curved edges, I think you can use bevel. And also watch the channel posted by Mikea, Blender Guru is a good channel to learn blender
