• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

negative Extrusion

Hello all,
using this: CreateAGNPolyBuild|BUILDTYPE=4 AND FNUMVERT<=100|{f707c26e-32ed-4f15-85a2-81c5bc9f8b32}|-0.009
with -0.009
the result is neg1.jpg, the orange building is not visible inside Prepar3d
using -0.001 the result is neg2.jpg the building are now all green but the wall is too fit.
it seems that when the walls are very thick and overlap, annotator brings them to orange because they are incorrect. What can I do to solve it. there is a way to extrude better with -0.009 in this example.
P.Š. I noticed that only the developper version recognizes this negative number. I do many tests

Hi,

Polygonal autogen buildings are a hard. Once the courtyard ring has some overlapping or intersections they become invalid. So I don't think there is a general setting that will always work.

Many of the orange polygons you show are not closed ring's, but U or L shaped. I don't think they are suitable for buildings with courtyards.

Hi,
I read the manual, a part, for this element: CreateAGNPolyBuild|BUILDTYPE=4 AND FNUMVERT<=100|{f707c26e-32ed-4f15-85a2-81c5bc9f8b32}|-0.009
talks about a possible 4 element, optional, buildAttr
CreateAGNPolyBuild| filter | GUID| width | ????| I do not found an example for this latest part. What kind of number is needed?

Hi,

I think the manual is incorrect there. It mentions that this attribute can be used to specify if a feature is open or closed, but that is not implemented in the code it seems. I'll check tonight and see if I need to update the manual here.
