• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Go to Avsim and search for the SBuilderX tutorials done by Luis Feliz-Tirado. They will help get you on your way.

Edit: well I have been looking for ADE and I must say that I've not been able to find the tool, I think I had downloaded Ade from here, Fsedeveloper/downloads,??¡¡

But he wrote adeX, not ADE.. i know this soft, but ok, i try it for flatten.

This program is for both FS9 and FSX, as it states at the very top of the page:

Airport Designer for Microsoft Flight Simulators FS9, FSX and Lockheed Prepar3D

Unfortunately, ADE9X can't "flatten" FS9 airport areas. The best tool I've found to create terrain flattens is Steve Greenwood's tool "FSTflatten":

http://home.earthlink.net/~smgreenwood/resources-g.shtml

The major advantage of Steve's tool is that you aren't limited to a rectangular flatten only, but can create a flatten with many, many vertex points, which is ideal for irregular shapes such as a shoreline.

If i want create new area in this soft, error 55, file already open. :(

You must be doing something wrong. I use ADE for FSX airport flattens and it works like a charm.

well, open airport / add polygon / draw the points, a double click to close the poygon / the window: "properties" open / and you will see: type-airport background, and below Tag- you choose flatten / okey and compile , there is no mistery, anyway could be any problem, adex give any kind of report?.

It can not flatten in FS9, which the OP is asking about...

Which is why he posted in the FSX terrain forum with a title of [FSX] New scenery, flatten. Not to mention he has already tried doing it in SbuilderX.
