• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

P3D v4 New ScenProc version ?

Hello,

I want to do a job with ScenProc, but I have a problem that I can not quite understand.

I have the version scenProc_1.1_x64. When I want to include the scenproc_latest_development_release_update there are administrator rights that are applied to me.

How should I do to have these administrator rights ?

And I found somewhere that the map.spc file had changed in code !

So, if you can help me find the right tools, I'll be happy !

Regards,
Marc

Hi Marc,

I don't understand your question. Installing the latest development release is the same as installed version 1.1. No admin rights are needed for that, unless you try to install in a location where your user doesn't have access. You can just unzip the ZIP in a location of your choice.

IIUC, the OP is not sure how to deal with Windows' User Access Control 'security permissions' prompt. :scratchch

Perhaps he could just try:

1.) Create a shortcut to [ScenProc install path]\scenProc.exe

2.) Right-click on the new shortcut; choose Properties from the pop-up context menu

a.) On {Compatibility} tab, assign "Run as Administrator" attribute for Windows profile of ScenProc user

...or:

b.) On {Security} tab, assign "Administrator" permissions for Windows profile of ScenProc user

But there is no need to run scenProc as administrator. It can just run as normal user and it will not ask for elevated permissions either.

Hello,
I have a problem with ScenProc. Here are screens that tell more than what I can write

I do not know how to solve it

Hi,

The warning in the first image indicates that the file path you entered does not exist, as scenProc can't find a file at that location.

The second error is related to the OGR library used for reading the GIS data. This usually indicates an installation problem. Did you do a full install of scenProc? The osr_csharp.dll file should be in the folder where scenProc.exe is also located. Also make sure that you have the right version (32 or 64 bit).

I see you are using the 1.1 release. Did you consider to use the development release (version 2.0)? It has many bug fixes.

Hello Arno!

Thank you for your answers !

I do not know how to find the ScenProc Version 2.0 you are talking about !

Marc

Thank you very much for your advice.

I precluded an exclusion for the ScenProc Folder and the ScenProc.exe by AVAST.

Now it works !

Marc
