FSX No GUIDs

Hi Arno,

I am not sure if this is an MCX, a LCXML issue or just plain stupidity on my part.
The problem is both with the 'old' LCMXL and with the new one, hence my wondering:
When I open an existing xml, it shows me the previously added mdl's, but only the first one is in black and contains a GUID but the balance (added later on but working alright) is red and shows no GUID.
When I remove the old mdl's and introduce the same ones again, then it is OK and I can add a new mdl, save it and compile into a bgl.
How could that happen?

Roby

Hi Roby,

Showing in red means that the MDL file could not be found when loading the XML. So did you keep the MDL files in the same folders as when you added them?

And are you using the relative path option or not when saving?

Hi Arno,

Fyi, I use the relative paths.
I have not changed the initial location of the mdl's but indeed the one that shows black is in another folder than the other ones.
I will check if that is the problem.

Hi Arno,

I found out what the problem was.
The 4 red mdl's were stored under a user name that was written with an accent (é). Apparently LCXML gets confused by that accent.

Hi,

OK, I am going to make a folder with such a special character and see what happens :).

Amazing!
Being married and working full-time, where do you find the time to bother???:)
But, of course, more than appreciated.

Hi,

I have fixed that issue now as well. So the special character should not be a problem anymore with the last version.

It's my Sinterklaas gift to you ;)
