Hello,
first I want to thank Don for his great tool,
which I discovered recently!
My main interest for its use is to create static
aircraft, that are illuminated at their position
in the evening or night,to replace AI-aircrafts.
that appear like black holes, parked in the
bright light of aprons.
SAMM works fine in most aspects,
if I check the doors open or cargo doors open option,
my static aircraft will have open doors,
but although I have the night textures
box checked,my static aircraft remain dark.
If I look at the SAMM texture editor,
the light maps are actually unchecked
and if I try to give them a check, appears the message
'the use of night textures is controlled from the Main Panel'.
And as I said above, the night textures box at the main panel
is checked.
I looked at the texture folder of the static aircraft
-and no,the light maps of the original aircraft are not there.
So I copied the light maps over to the static aircraft texture folder
-no effect!
I tried this with several aircrafts like the Project Airbus A320,
the FAIB B737-800 or the POSKY B737-800.
So it seems, the light-on/light-off switch does not work for me...
I am using version 2.2.03 of SAMM for FSX in Win7.
Any help or a solution would be very appreciated,
I really want to get rid off those black dark parked AI-aircraft,
that spoil the otherwise very beautiful airport night-sceneries,
that we can get for FSX or P3D.
Kind regards,Jens
