• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS20 Non Functional Cockpit controls

I hope some of you who are more tech savvy about FS2020 and can help me resolve this dilemna.
I am using the FS2020 from my own Standard Disc set (downloaded to my PC and accessed in the Microsoft Store for playing,
an Asus Gamer Laptop and a Logic ExtremePro3D Joystick.
My problem is when I am in the cockpit of any plane, my favorite being the 747 and the A320, I place my cursor
on the dial know for headings, altitude or speed and the know lights up blue but I am not able to set anything.
It does not respond. I have reset many items including controls, assistance and general options to no avail.
May I add that these functions worked before until my last major required update a few weeks ago.
I am at my wit's end on this problem. I contacted Microsoft and tried their suggestions but no luck.
Can anyone help me fix this frustrating issue?
Many thanks in advance.
Mike

I think what you are looking for is "Cockpit interaction - Primary Interaction".

In theory, the easiest way to fix this should be to reset your Mouse assignments to the default which should assign the Primary Interaction to the left mouse button. If that doesn't work you need to assign the Primary Interaction to the left mouse button on your mouse.

Have you done this already? I would have thought it was the first thing that MS would suggest but you don't specify what you have done already so it's hard to know what the exact problem is without going over everything again.

Right clicking should allow you to pan the camera by default. Does that work?

Hi Thanks for your reply. I was able to change the mouse settings and now I can adjust the dial.
Thank you for your help!
The problem however still exists with the AutoPilot It will not engage after I have set the altitude and headings.

The right click does nothing.

I apologize for taking so long to respond to you.

Hi Again,
If you have any suggestion for making the AP function, I sure could use the help
Thank you

You would do better to look for assistance from either Asobo/Microsoft or a users's forum. FSDeveloper is primarily about developing addons for the sims, not providing technical support for the sims. Not trying to be a jerk, just don't think you're going to get much help in how to make the sim work here.

OK thanks I didn't know. I thought this was a help desk type site.
I'll remove my post after you read it.
TY
