• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi all,

My laptop has two graphics cards, one NVidia and an integrated AMD Radeon. I recently noticed that the rendering of the nornals only works on the NVidia card. With the integrated one they do not show. So it seems the geometry shader I use for that does not work on all cards.

So more people see this issue that there are no normals shown? And of so, with what kind of graphics card is that?

Which integrated AMD Radeon Graphics chip set is used in that Laptop (or what is the model number of the Laptop) ?

I have used Radeons exclusively for many years, and would be glad to see if the Radeon chip set had a driver update to fix that.

The backup build of my prior FS computer has an integrated Radeon graphics chip set, and also uses a Radeon HD 7970 GPU.

I may be able to test the recent MCX builds for that display issue when my current FS computer is finished being rebuilt.

It's probably a Radeon Graphics 512SP, but this thread is not about solving this issue. I normally use the NVidia card for MCX.

I want to know if more users have issues with the shader not working on their hardware.

I guess this issue might not be very common, as not many people seem to have this issue. I will at least add a mention of it in the manual. Maybe it is not worth the issue to try to fix it.
