• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Any of you guys that know how to build planes, I found a old Firefox Project that looks to have all the parts. I just wouldn’t know where to begin.
If you want I can send as I don’t remember where I got it.
Thanks
JT

OK - Gottcha - Here's what We have so far. - Followed the link you sent me, and it was for a *.zip file ( Foxfire.Zip ). Zip is a file type Windows uses to package, or bundle Project Files. To open them up You need to Extract, or unpack them. I use a free program called WinZip. After unpacking you will find the files You require to build an aircraft for flight sim. The geometry files were created by Flight Sim Design Studio, I use version 3.5. opening up the geometry files, I find somebody's Mig 31 creation. These files look pretty complete, but i did not see any *.mdl files, so I am not sure if the model was ever compiled. The files include interior, exterior, and it looks like a virtual cockpit, using an F18 instrument panel. After downloading, For you to Access this File (Project), You will need WinZip or some other file to extract the Zip files, and Flight Sim Design Studio, I'm not sure if You can even buy it anymore. Its a program I really like, but no longer available ?? ( I Think ) - So good luck - if You have any other questions please feel free to ask ?? Maybe someone else has a method to open an *.fsc (F.S.D.S. 3.5 ) file ?

Snooping around on the internet, for FSDS 3.5 - I did find it on ebay, but it was a replacement copy, with out pass words. - Johnman

OK I found out how to open the .fsc file with MCX but can't figure out how to convert to a .mdl file.
Help would be appreciated
Thanks JT
