Maybe a little different than most of the stuff here, but a lot of the information on this site helped figure out file formats and stuff. I hope I'm not violating any forum rules posting this since it's not aircraft or scenery or a tool.
Here's a link to the new online flight planner I'm building (currently in beta):
http://flightsimguide.com/
Some unique features:
* Uses AFCAD data to generate airport information like parking, comm frequencies and runway/ILS information.
* Uses data.xplane.com information for navigation waypoints, VORs and NDBs so the navigation data can be kept up to date.
* Both NOAA and VATSIM weather information included.
* Fuel planning for various aircraft including multiple performance profiles for aircraft. Early testing has shown the fuel plan to be accurate to within about 5%. Should be more accurate if winds aloft data can be found and included in the planning.
* Fuel loading information specific for the chosen aircraft is displayed on the dispatch paperwork.
* Realistic dispatch paperwork.
* Assigns parking/gate based on chosen operator.
* Assigns a squawk code for flying offline and without ATC.
* Pseudo API for integration with virtual airlines.
* Interactive map for planned route and airports.
Full list of features being developed can be viewed here: http://flightsimguide.com/flight-plan-comparison
The site tends to run a bit slow at the moment because I have some things in debug behind the scenes.
Thanks for checking it out.
