• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

Hello guys, Im trying to convert my fs2004 scenery to fsx but i found this problem and I dont know how to solve it, please help me. This is the problem, I followed all instructions to make ground polygons with gmax and then I tweaked the asm files and I assigned different layers for different polygons (8,12,16...) and I also made polygons less than 100m per side for the earth rotation but some polygons still flickering, please help me I cant find the way for this, I dont know what is wrong.

Did you make a flatten for the area as well? The rest you did sounds correct.
 
Hi Arno, thanks for your reply, I didnt a flatten area but its something strange because if you see the layers that are under that white-red layer, I mean the tarmac or asphalt and the concrete doesnt produce this effect of flickering just this layer. I also have other problem, I exported other layers that doesnt appear, this is more strange for me I cant explain that, this has no logic, some layers appear and others doesnt and they have the same procedure.
 
Hi, other thing that its something strange its when I changed one layer from 24 to 28 this layer appear and when this layer was on 24 did not appear, please help me to fix this, I followed all instructions of tutorials but I cant get a good result.
 
Hi, Someone can recommend me a program that makes flatten areas, I did this, In my afcad I did a polygon, Does this work as flatten area? Thanks for your attention.
 
The area is probably already flattened.

Try setting the AGL altitude in the placement at 0.001 meters altitude, or perhaps 0.002m.

This is a tiny bit, and should not be noticeable visually.

This could be the curved earth issue with FSX. You must have your polygons less than 100 meters in lenght and width so that it would be solved.

I don't think that should really matter.

All the different polygon layer we see are part of your scenery right? Did you try if the flickering also happens if you remove some of them? I mean are it your polygons that flicker with each other or with the rest of the terrain as well.
