• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS20 P-factor edit

Hi, guys...
Is there any way to edit P-factor in msfs planes. E.g. in default and moded tbm 930, P-factor is way to small...?

There are numerous ways to change the data in the flight_model.cfg to alter P-factor. The question is which ones MSFS actually uses.
Have you tried the most obvious one?

[FLIGHT_TUNING]
p_factor_on_yaw = 1

Somehow I miss this line in cfg file and I was looking at something like this - my bad. I'll try it at the evening and report back...
Thanks...

If I'm not mistaken, change in cfg file has effect only in air, there is no difference in behaviour on ground at takeoff roll... I tested in modern flight model... If I'm correct there will be some changes in ground physics in WU6 and then I'll try again...

FDM changes apply to every phase of flight, they aren't limited to the aircraft in flight.

I agree, it should. But I'm just talking about my observation and testing, perhaps it is some bug. I changed p_factor_on_yaw to 5, and ther was no difference in behavior of plane at takeof roll, but in the air the p-factor was very obvious...

Confirm there's no change in any of the taildraggers? Since P-factor affects an aircraft only at high AoA, there's none with tricycle gear equipped aircraft during the takeoff run.
