• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I have created a high quality (65,000 poly) model of a jet i am not able to reveal to the public. But I am in need of a person to texture and possibly animate the model. If you are interested email me at jaacckbiilly13@yahoo.com and i will promptly respond to your interest. If not you can leave a post here with your contact info and i will get back to you. Compensation may be provided from 20 to 40 USD depending on the quality of work.

it depends on what the jet is, as to the work, but to texture and animate, 40USD is not a lot.

Texturing and animating a model is VERY time consuming, specially if its a project you are not familiar with and not to mention you may find problems in the model that are not to your liking...so detrimental when someone creates a 3D model and doesn't texture it, its like a painter with a brush and no paint to paint with......some people can model great in gmax but they don't know how to texture =/

My base rate for custom modeling, gauge work, and texturing is $85/hour...

So if he animated and textured your model which from experience I can tell you a good sized jet will take between 10 and 16 hours to texture, maybe more! Your looking at at-least $1000+ and its a reasonable price given your intent is to sell it since you want to pay someone else for the work done.

For $40 USD, I'll texture 1 tire for you, lol.

I know of a developer who charged people based on polygon count. 2 cents per polygon I believe he charged, so your model would cost $1300 to texture! Even at that small price rate, this is why you have to keep your polygon count low =P

There are people on turbo squid that make thousands selling 3d models...furniture, houses, shapes, objects, trees, cars, planes, you name it.
