P3D v4 Possible to add light effect to animated objects?

Hi everybody,

just doing some experiments with animated QRA doors. They are doing really fine, but now I want to add flash lights beside it and they shall work only when the doors are opening or closing. In Gmax, I tried to add an effect via attach point tool, set animation keys according to the doors animation, export all together, but the only result is still a constant flashing light even the doors don't move. Each hint is much appreciated.

You can't do this with Gmax for sure. You can't set the attach point to only be there when the animation is on. Maybe SODE can do.

Or else you can maybe fool it by placing the light under the ground and moving it up in the first frame.

Thank you, guys. I will have a look inside the SODE options, Dave.
Arno, that's not a bad idea - if SODE fails I will give it a try for sure.

That did the job, mate. Appreciate this. Set the first animation key to 3 metres below ground, second to the warning lights position above. Finally last animation key at same lights position. Works like a charm know. Thank you. Only issue now is to lower the flashing duration of the warning lights to get nearly a flashlight effect. Can I set this inside the fx light file options?
