Problem assigning night texture...

Hello,

Since updating to the latest MCX release I am having a problem assigning my night texture to my object. I manually add the night texture in the material editor and both day and night textures are together in the same folder however when I try to do a night render in MCX the night texture does not show and I can't convert it to dds in the mass texture converter. I've attached a screenshot of the issue. This has only happened since updating to this latest release...otherwise all of my other models have been working fine adding night textures. I also have noticed that there is an extra folder path appearing in the main texture file inside the material editor which the night texture does not have. The program wasn't doing this in the last release and I am guessing this might be part of the issue.

Hi Brandon,

You already gave the answer in the last part of your question. The difference in the path is why the night texture is not found. So if you type it in front of the night texture as well it will work.

Another option is the use the material preset for night textures (available in the combobox). That will take care of the path for you.

The way texture paths are handled in modelconverterx has changed quite some time ago, so you old must have been quite old if it did not show a path for the day texture.

I tried typing the path however that did not work either. The path I typed disappeared when I clicked to close the window. I will try your other suggestions. I was using version 1.20

It should be possible to type a path. Only when you use the file selection dialogue it will store the file name only.
