Hi
I'm working on my first airport scenery.
The model is complete and looks fantastic in gmax.
I've tried applying some textures which look terrible - that's a problem for another day though.
Frustrated with fixing the texture problem, I moved on to export the model to see how it looks in FS2004. I've been trying now for 2 days, done lots of research on the internet, and the problem is still not fixed.
I did have in gmax/plugins:
mdlcommander, renamed to makemdl
makemdl, renamed to mkmdl
makemdl.parts (also tried renaming it mkmdl.parts)
and FSModelExp.dle
I currently have in gmax/plugins
mdlcommander
makemdl
makemdl.parts
and FSModelExp.dle
Now I can export a .mdl file with no errors, but i dont get a .xml file.
I tried using LibraryCreatorXML, because I understand with that program, I dont need an xml file. However, when I "Add MDL Objects", I get a message saying that my .mdl file is not a valid MDL file.
Its not just my airport either. I cant even sucessfully export a simple box with textures.
Help please
Stephen
