• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS20 Problem - Exporting textures scaled with Mapping node !

Hello,
I am not pro with Blender and trying to use 2.9 for exporting textured airport buildings. I searched too much but could not find the reason. It is maybe very easy to solve but I could not find it. Thanks for your support , in advance.
When using pbr textures for the faces, I want to use mapping node scale for adjusting the size of the textures and it seems to be successfull in Blender. But, when I export the models for MSFS , using the MSFS gltf exporter, I always see that the texture sizes are not as seen in Blender.
What am I missing ? Thanks.

Did you apply all transforms to the objects before exporting?

In object mode go to Object-apply-all transforms.

If I understand correctly, you are trying to remap a texture within the node editor?

Yes.
In Blender...

In MCX or MSFS

Please show the node editor with the change and show it prior to the change.

Scales were 1-1-1 before the change and I want it to look like it is in Blender, where after the change the scales are 100-100-1
It is the terminal roof texture where I wanted small stones, not big rocks :)
When scaling the faces in UV Editor, it works when exported (I do not want this). But when it is scaled by mapping node, it is not working when exported.

Any help would be wonderful.I am stuck with this :(

It is not possible to use the mapping node. You can go to the uv editor and scale the uvs there. I think that should work.

Yes, scaling via UV Editor worked but I wanted to use mapping node. Why it is not posible ? Thank you for your reply.
