Hello everybody
.
I am gaining Grey hairs with a FSX helicopter landing pontoon which has the shape of an octagon. The platform is 150 cm high and has a guardrail around which is slightly higher.
I followed Adams' hard surface tutorial and it compiled to mdl without a problem (using 3.5.1). I then added the mdl with LibraryMaker and placed the object with IS. At first i noticed that the Heli on the platform is moving while panning the view around (like when you have runway set to wrong elevation). After restarting FSX the Heli sits now even about 2 meter above the pontoon...
I checked the xml Y coordinate and it's fine with 1.5 meter.
Could it be that there is a problem when the hard surface is not the highest point ? Is there anything else i have to watch out for ? A square shape poly instead of a octagon didn't help either.
Should i create a separate object for the hard surface and place with IS corresponding to the pontoon ?
Thanks for your help
Heiko
