• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi,

Are the two buildings in the same object or are it two separate objects you placed?

Usually such problems are caused by a drawing order problem. For example if the reference point if the building behind is closer than the reference point of the transparent object.

Hi, just to help you out.
I have attached a zip file for you to look at.
You may keep the files and use them as you wish.
They are:
1. FSDS fsc file - a plain box.
2. MDL file - compiled with FSDS v3
3. BMP - completely transparent.
The mdl file will give you a transparent box that you can see through. It cannot be seen. I use it to hide small default objects instead of using an exclusion square.
Hope this helps.

solved transparent, but now crash building!

thanks a lot! i can made the box transparent, but now i have a new problem when tested the scenery, start fs9 in the new scenery but in some parking positions when change the view fs detect a crash building  i don't know what happened, something have any solution???

i'm a very begginer as you see :D

The quickest and easiest solution is to delete any Exclusions that have been made. You will then see exactly what it is you are crashing into!
What are you using to design the basics of the airport?
I mean the taxiways and runways etc not the actual scenery.
If you are using AFX then you should go to their forum and look at the threads and posts there.
