• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

Problems to export Blender x SDK scenery MSFS2020

Hi everyone,
I want to export a simple model like an open-pit mining pit, shown in screenshot 2, to the MSFS2020 SDK.
I exported from Blender 3.3, resulting in the Export Modelib figure, which generated a Collection.glFt file. The Cava.glb file was generated in a previous attempt.
I think the *.bin file is missing, which I can't generate.
I know this is complex and depends heavily on Asobo's multi-export settings, which I've never used before.
So, I apologize for my ignorance and appreciate any help in generating the asset for the SDK.
Jorge

Attached is the setup I use to make an object for MSFS2020. If you load the .blend file to Blender, you can see what settings I use. This will place the .blend, the glTF and BIN, and the textures all in the same folder... which I usually put right on the desktop while I work on it.

Thank very much. I´ll try. Best

I tried what you told me, but unfortunately I didn't get any practical results.
Neither with the cube you sent me, nor with my model.
Here's a screenshot of the settings I applied.
We'll keep trying.
Cheers

By the way. I made a mistake in the "objects" tab, which is different from your model.
In the "Objects" screenshot, I see two problems (in the arrow): I can't place my object. And I can't place the texture. Could it be an external texture or Blender's own?
In the "settings" screenshot, everything is the same as your cube.
So, what do you say?
Thanks.

Hello, I didn't wait for a reply to the last two posts and tried to add BigCubo to my main scenario.
When I load the main scenario, BigCubo doesn't appear, and vice versa.
I also can't add BigCubo's modellib to my main scenario.
Here's a screenshot of the main scenario. Maybe you can help me with all these questions that are already confusing me...
No problem, let's move on.
Cheers

Attached is a MSFS 2020 project that adds BigCube to a modelLib and then places it at 41WI Paddock Field
