Hi,
Is the FX file located in the effects folder of the FS version that you have set as preferred FS version in the options?

hi arno,I only installed one version of p3d, and there were no reports or errors in the event. I put the MCX folder on the D drive, and I sent a shortcut to the desktop. I used the shortcut to open the MCX program. Does this have anything to do with it?Do you have multiple version of FS or P3D installed? It might be MCX looks in the wrong folder.
Your settings look OK, so then you should see the effect. Are there any warning in the event log that hint at problems loading the FX file?
Does the effect work in FxEditor?
I imported the fx file, there was information on the left, but no lighting effect on the right 。I'll send you the exported file. You need to open the FX file in FXEditor, not the MDL file.

hi arno,Hi,
Is the FX file located in the effects folder of the FS version that you have set as preferred FS version in the options?
I tried it this morning. I copied an effect to the desktop, and then used the attacted object editor of mdx to import MDX. Then I saw the special effect, but the special effect lost the texture. Then after exporting the mdl file and importing it into p3d, the effect can appear. I don't know why it happens. Another question is, I directly added a Point light in the attacted object editor. Will this light not work and will it not work when imported into p3d?It's in the settings under the FS related settings. But if you only have one sim installed It should not be a problem.
Hi,arno.Yes, I put this point light source export. fx file in the effect folder of prepar3d, which has no effect. Similarly, I opened this. fx lighting file with fx editor, and it didn't show any effect. If you add a point light MCX will produce a FX file for you on export, that you need to copy to the effects folder of P3D.
Here's a point light I exported in MDX, I opened it with the FXEdder tool and I can't see the effect of it, you can take a lookCan you attach the FX you got here in this thread? I'm pretty sure it should work (you need to open it from the effects folder, else the texture is not found).
