• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

P3D v5 Project Russia-Eurasia

I have been working on the project for quite a while and would like to present it here.

Simmershome Russia-Eurasia Project wants to bring you closer to a sixth of the earth that is unjustly neglected in flight simulators.
It will offer about 100 selected sceneries from Russia and the states of Eurasia, from the Polish border to Wladivostok, which are all freeware and of decent quality, but unfortunately do not really run correctly in Prepar3D v5.

These will be partially rebuilt by us, so if necessary

- dynamic lights
- Altitude corrections
- Jetways via GSX
- partial ground photos
- Switching the seasons
- AI between all places within Russia- Eurasia

and much more.

The quality of the initial sceneries is about the same as what I have presented as usable freeware so far. So it's decent to very good and above all really country-specific. Russia as Russians see it . Of course no "FlyTampa", that would be too much to ask. But you will have very long flying pleasure if you want to.

As soon as something is ready, we will offer you the free downloads on Google Drive. I have rented enough storage space for this. The original sceneries are all "Unlimited Distributed". They are the starting point for our conversion. We will offer them centrally and freely accessible to everyone, so that everyone has the same starting point as the scenery. We will also put them in a directory form that you can handle and do not need to know Russian. On this uniformity we will then build the Prepar3D v5 adaption and add a manual in DE_EN_RU

Here the project chart (interactive click chart)

At this time are relased by us:

- Almaty, Tblissi, Lviv, Talagi, Anapa, Sochi, Tscheljabinsk, Turkmenbashi, Waskovo, Platov, Mineralnyje Wody, Rostov, Nalchik, Jerewan, Batumi and Minsk Airports

Here the last Video from Minsk Airports

I've been following this project of yours for a little while, visiting your website to see whether anything new has been released! I greatly appreciate your effort to do this, as there are many high quality sceneries for this part of the world that have since been forgotten in older versions of the sim. Nevertheless I have a number of them running fairly well in P3Dv4, but with the advent of P3Dv5, they remain rather broken, for numerous reasons. Specifically I was overjoyed to see Almaty and Minsk released, and am looking forward to Kiev and Tashkent! It's also commendable that you take the trouble to further update these sceneries as well, such as Minsk, where you brought it up to the current status of the airport, whereas the old version of the scenery is not reflective of these changes.

However, I was wondering whether you'd be willing to consider two or three more airports for which good sceneries exist in P3Dv4, but need conversion to P3Dv5:

Dushanbe: https://www.avsimrus.com/f/p3d-default-sceneries-128/utdd-dushanbe-v1-00-66319.html
Bishkek: http://www.avsimrus.com/f/fsx-sceneries-83/bishkek-manas-ucfm-for-fsx-60517.html
Kabul: https://www.avsim.su/f/p3d-scenarii...port-oakb-in-kabul-for-p3d-v4-v1-0-69091.html

Especially Dushanbe and Bishkek. Together with Almaty and Tashkent, these four airports make the major hubs of Central Asia, with lots of traffic in-between them. Let alone that this is a uniquely beautiful area of the world!

I hope you'd be willing to consider them :)

Hello Benjamin,
I can only change and publish sceneries that exist under "unlimited distribution".
In these sceneries there are no specifications and in UTDD it is forbidden according to EULA

UTDD
"Any editing or manipulation over the sceneries without authors` consent is prohibited and results in proper measures. "

Sorry.

Ah... I see. That is rather sad indeed. Thanks for clarifying that! Anyway, looking forward to seeing the rest of the project come to fruition.

Currently Kazan is in progress with both airports.

Right now I'm sending the airport into beta testing, while I'm still working on the second one in the city. There will be nothing missing in Kazan because it is completely rebuilt. 3D grass, custum runway lighting, taxilights centerlights, dynamic lights, GSX jetways and seasons are just named as examples. All night textures, which are often very dominant with the Russian designers, were also newly created. I don't say anything about the release, because I take my time now and prefer to fly in between. Free after the motto "when it comes it is there":)

We have decided to finish the entire PBR GA and the helicopters first, before new sceneries are released.
There will then also be an update for Malta complete, because this will become necessary.

Therefore, I will not put the Kazan and Samara sceneries online yet. I assume that this will not be finished within 14 days.
I ask for your understanding, but this makes more sense than publishing and then adding updates.

During the waiting time, of course, there is a second one. The third airport in the group is called: UKBB Boryspil (Kiev).
Today I did some basic work and created the dynamic lighting.

Here are two pictures

Awesome!! Take all the time you need. Excited for UKBB! That scenery was always very good and it’s be great to see it brought up to v5 standards. Will you be including the Kiev city scenery as well?

The decision has been made. In addition to UKBB, there is also the city and the city airport UKKK.

Since UKKK is from Lukaszewski design and I'm not sure if it is completely free, there is this scenery in the original and then overwritten with my patch. Since affects all the dynamic lighting, night textures, centerlights, stoplights , 3D grass, animated people and much more.

With this you can fly from Boryspil (UKBB) over the city to Zhuliany (UKKK) complete with aerial view in very good quality

Here two preview pictures WIP

While @holi51 is working diligently on the PBR AI, I'm of course moving ahead with the project.
Under the name "Siberia Airports" I am currently putting together a package with 15 airports in the Novosibirsk region up to the Altai mountains.

In addition there are 20 military airports in the east of Siberia. Most of them are not even in the sim
All this is rounded off by Novosibirsk and Barnaul.

Here is an example from Gorno-Altaysk

This sweetie was "lifted" by Holger and I only correct some things. All places have good quality and are already v5 suitable.
So we are not sleeping

But what is "sleeping" is the development for FS2020 and that until Asobo/MS delivers updates where functionally all addons survive without correction.

Now it's time to start again. All airports in Project Russia-Eurasia are prepared for Holger's GA AI. The first one is Samara. And as always, here is the video before the release.

Many things have been adjusted, which you can read about in the manual. Among others, the long winter from November to March. The vegetation is switched automatically by script and matches the simulator exactly to the day.

Here is the video first

Samara is followed by Kazan UWKD and the factory airport Borisoglelebskoye UWKB. And then the airports of Kiev, Boryspil UKBB and Schuljany UKKK.

After the appearance of Samara, there are now both Kazan.... airports pictorially today. One is the international airport UWKD and the factory airport UWKG.

In the latter we have installed static models, which most of you have probably never seen before.

And Holger's PBR AI is being used for the first time but is not yet included in the release. No big deal, because this will be a stand-alone addon that is simply installed via xml and constantly updated without the seats needing an update.

By the way, as of today, Google checks all videos for copyright infringements when they are uploaded, which takes longer than uploading and converting the video itself.

Here is the video first

Have fun

From Kazan, we head west again to Kiev. Today the video preview part 1 of the Kiev Airports. Specifically Boryspil UKBB. So it's not far until the release, which you will find as always in the Simmershome filebase.

But first, enjoy the video
